ePortfolios can help to identify evaluate and recognise competences and they can also help to communicate, mobilise and develop competences. Indeed, part of the strength of ePortfolios is the capacity to integrate processes and to accompany or bring about transformation. ePortfolios are about all that you, your team or your organisation are and all that you can be.This workshop provides the foundations to better understand the world of ePortfolios including agreed upon definitions and characteristics of ePortfolios and associated technological and social issues. The importance of competency dictionaries, reference frameworks or profiles in relation to ePortfolios will be clarified and you will be given tips on how to identify and find a quality competence framework. You will be able to see and understand some best practices of ePortfolios in various domains of implementation from organisational development, to improving labor market functioning, to transitioning to lifelong learning. You will learn to distinguish different types of ePortofolio softwares and tools (mostly open source). The workshop will also offer practical information on how to locate, adapt or develop competence frameworks and how to develop a successful ePortfolio project.Objectives
